2. Information We Collect

Cross-Word King does not require account creation, login, or sign-in. Instead, when you install the app, it automatically generates a random, app-specific installation ID. This ID is not your device’s Advertising ID or any other operating-system-level identifier — it is generated and used only by this app to store your progress.

Using this installation ID, we store the following information in our backend database:

• Installation date and last active date
• Current level and game progress / save data
• Your chosen nickname (user tag)
• Multiplayer statistics: number of online matches played, matches won, and matches lost
• Gameplay data: hints used, maximum tries
• Crash logs and basic technical/diagnostic information (used to identify and fix bugs)

This information is stored on our servers (Oracle Database, hosted in the Asia region) and is linked only to your installation ID — not to your real name, email address, phone number, or any external account.

Your nickname (user tag)

You choose your own nickname when you set it in the app. This nickname:

• Is visible to opponents you are matched with in online multiplayer matches
• Can be changed by you at any time within the app

Please avoid using your real name or other personally identifying information as your nickname, since it may be seen by other players.

Your controls

Within the app, you can:

• Change your nickname at any time
• Reset your game progress at any time

If you would like your data deleted from our servers entirely (including your installation ID record), you can contact us at walatima404@gmail.com and we will process your request.

3. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Cross-Word King displays ads — including banner, interstitial, and rewarded video ads — using Google AdMob, an advertising service provided by Google. Rewarded ads are optional and may be shown when you choose to watch one in exchange for an in-app benefit, such as a hint.

To deliver, measure, and (depending on your settings and location) personalize these ads, AdMob may collect information such as:

• Your advertising ID
• IP address
• Device and technical information
• App activity and interaction data

Depending on your region and ad settings, ads shown to you may be personalized based on this information.

Opting out of personalized ads: You can limit ad personalization through your device settings (on Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads > “Opt out of Ads Personalization”) or through Google’s Ad Settings at adssettings.google.com.

4. Multiplayer

Cross-Word King includes an online multiplayer feature that matches you with other players. When matched, only your nickname (user tag) is visible to your opponent — your installation ID, statistics, and other stored data are not shared with other players.

5. Children’s Privacy

Cross-Word King is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. We do not serve personalized/behavioral advertising to users known to be under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us at walatima404@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps to remove it.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

• Google AdMob, for the purpose of displaying and measuring advertisements (see Section 3)

We do not share your installation ID, game progress, nickname, or statistics with any other third party.

7. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect the data stored in our database from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA and other applicable laws)

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your data, including the right to:

• Know what data we hold about you
• Request a copy of your data
• Request correction or deletion of your data
• Withdraw consent to data collection (which may limit app functionality, such as resuming saved progress)
